🥰 Why We Spotlight Local Businesses
We shine a light on the local businesses and entrepreneurs who make our local towns vibrant and unique. When you support these featured businesses you’re investing in our neighbors’ dreams and helping build a stronger community by creating jobs and keeping our city thriving. 🤗

📣 Today we’re shining the spotlight on R&R BBQ, a local favorite known for bold flavor and big heart. 💛

🥩 A Local Favorite for Real BBQ
If you’re craving real, slow-smoked BBQ that delivers every single time, R&R BBQ is a local favorite worth knowing. For the past 13 years, they’ve been serving up tender brisket, fall-off-the-bone ribs, pulled pork, chicken, and more—using simple, whole ingredients your family can feel good about.
🏆 Award-Winning, Utah Proud
Started right here in Utah, R&R BBQ has earned a strong reputation for doing things the right way: smoked slow, served fast, and packed with flavor. In fact, their dedication to quality helped them earn the title of Best BBQ in 2025 by Best of Utah—and one visit makes it easy to see why.
🎉 From Weeknight Dinners to Big Events
Whether you’re grabbing a casual meal with family or feeding a crowd, R&R BBQ has you covered. Their catering services handle everything from small gatherings to large events of up to 5,000 people, including delivery, setup, serving, and cleanup—so you can enjoy the event while they handle the BBQ.

❤️ Giving Back to the Community
Beyond great food, R&R BBQ is deeply committed to giving back. Last fall, they helped raise $6,900 for Make-A-Wish Utah, bringing people together over BBQ for a meaningful cause. They also support Ink Against Cancer and partner with local schools, PTAs, and sports teams through fundraising programs that help organizations earn money while enjoying great food.

Davis County Updates Tattoo and Piercing Rules
Davis County is updating its rules for tattoo and piercing shops to match the latest state standards. The Board of Health voted to scrap the old regulation and replace it with a new version that lines up with Utah’s rules.
The changes mostly affect how businesses are run — like cleaner equipment standards, clearer rules, and more consistent inspections. It’s all meant to make things safer for both customers and workers.
The public had a chance to comment before the change was approved, but no major concerns came up. The new rules kick in on March 1.

What’s Going In Next to Pace’s Dairy Ann? 👀🏗️
A lot of people have been asking about the construction happening next to Pace’s Dairy Ann, so here’s what we know.
Based on city planning info, a new commercial building is going in and it’s expected to be home to two local businesses:
DC Customs (vehicle detailing/custom work)
The Boat Shack (boat sales and repair)
The building will face 500 West, with service bays in the back. No official opening dates yet, but it’s moving forward as a business space — not a restaurant or bank like some rumors suggested.
Mystery (mostly) solved! We’ll share updates as we learn more. 😊

🏀 Local girls basketball teams delivered strong performances in recent matchups, each securing key victories.
Bountiful topped Springville 52-41 in a nonregion contest, led by Milika Satuala’s 24 points, including two three-pointers. Maleah Nelson added 13 points as the Redhawks took control with an 18-10 second quarter. Springville’s effort was led by Sami Dellamas with 20 points.
Woods Cross earned a 43-34 Region 6 win over Skyline behind Adia Cook’s 19 points. Mersadie Carroll added eight, hitting two shots from deep. A 14-8 third quarter gave the Wildcats the edge. Mia Johnson led Skyline with 11 points.
Farmington pulled away from Lehi 56-47, thanks to a 21-12 third-quarter surge. Brooklyn Romney paced the Phoenix with 21 points and six three-pointers. Lehi’s Madi Andrews led her team with 13 points.
Alta rolled past Viewmont 66-17 in Region 6 action, led by Quincy Kegel’s 19 points and Olivia Stephens’ 17. Kailey Selleneit scored eight for the Vikings.
