Come Home Publishing
Building Families Through Stories
⭐️ Meet Come Home Publishing, a heartwarming family business dedicated to creating meaningful children's literature that teaches values of character, resilience, and faith. Founded by local author Jennifer Richter, this small business brings together three generations—Jennifer as the author, her mother as the illustrator, and her daughter managing social media and graphic design. Their collective mission is to share stories that uplift and strengthen families, both in their local community and beyond.
Jennifer’s books, available on Amazon, blend storytelling, poetry, and art, focusing on Christian and familial values. “At first, we wrote with our own children and grandchildren in mind, but we realized that these stories could benefit a wider audience,” says Jennifer. Their books aim to nurture children’s growth by encouraging courage, compassion, and connection.
What makes Come Home Publishing stand out is its dedication to not only producing high-quality literature but also fostering a sense of community. Jennifer and her family are active in the local area, donating copies of their books, hosting online readings, and sharing uplifting messages through their Instagram account, @comehomepublishing.

Exciting things are on the horizon for Come Home Publishing. This October, they will release their latest book, We Had a Good Christmas After All, a true story set in 1925 about a young boy and his family’s resilience following the loss of their father. It’s a touching tale of love, perseverance, and forgiveness, sure to inspire readers of all ages.
You can learn more about Come Home Publishing and explore Jennifer’s books by visiting their website at www.comehome.us or checking out her Amazon page here.
👉 Let’s support this wonderful local business as they continue to share stories that make a difference!

Cross E Ranch Cancels Sunflower Festival After Crop Failure, Fall Festival Still on Track
Cross E Ranch has shared some unfortunate news for local flower enthusiasts—there won’t be a sunflower festival this year. Despite their best efforts and hard work, the sunflower crop did not succeed, leading to the cancellation of the popular event.
Although this comes as a disappointment to many, the ranch is still inviting visitors to join them for their annual Fall Festival, which will run from September 20th to October 30th. The Fall Festival promises a variety of seasonal activities for families to enjoy, offering a festive experience despite the absence of sunflowers.
For more details about the Fall Festival, check their official website.

A man was struck and killed by a FrontRunner train in Sunset, Utah.
A man died after being struck by a FrontRunner train in Sunset, Utah, on the morning of September 2, 2024. The incident occurred at around 10:30 a.m. near the Sunset station. According to Utah Transit Authority (UTA) spokesman Gavin Gustafson, a pedestrian jumped in front of the train, resulting in a fatal accident. Although the reason for the man’s actions is unclear, authorities are investigating whether the man deliberately stepped onto the tracks. Following the accident, southbound FrontRunner services experienced significant delays. UTA reminded the public about mental health resources available to those in crisis.

A Patriotic Start to Farmington’s Exciting New Sports Season
Farmington Parks and Recreation had a fantastic Opening Day, introducing their new mascot, Pine Tar Pat, to an excited crowd. The event was filled with fun, including 75 people signing the sportsmanship pledge to promote fairness and respect in local sports, and 500 free nachos adding to the festive feel. Kaylie Uzelac's beautiful performance of the National Anthem added a special touch to the day. Thanks to the Parks and Recreation team, it was a memorable event, and Pine Tar Pat is sure to be a beloved part of Farmington’s sports community moving forward.
