๐ Dougโs Power Raking

When spring cleanup season rolls around, many homeowners start looking at their yards wondering where to even begin. Thatโs where local resident Doug Buttsโ Power Raking steps in โ helping lawns breathe again and giving yards a fresh start after the long winter months.
Doug keeps things simple: reliable work, affordable pricing, and helping local homeowners get their lawns looking their best without breaking the bank. In his own words, theyโre โgood and cheap.. ;)โ โ and sometimes straightforward honesty is exactly what people are looking for.
Power raking is an important part of lawn maintenance that removes built-up thatch and dead grass, helping improve airflow, water absorption, and overall lawn health. A good power rake can help your grass grow thicker, greener, and healthier throughout the season.
As a local owner-operated business, Doug focuses on providing friendly service and helping neighbors throughout the community tackle one of the biggest spring yard chores. Whether your lawn needs a seasonal refresh or youโre trying to revive patchy grass after winter, Power Raking offers a simple way to help bring your yard back to life.

๐จ Prescribed Burn Notice for West Davis County ๐ฅ
Residents in West Davis County may notice smoke over the next several days as the Utah Division of Forestry, Fire & State Lands conducts a planned prescribed burn along the eastern shoreline of the Great Salt Lake through May 2.
The controlled burn is being used for invasive plant mitigation and will be closely monitored by crews on-site. Smoke may be visible โ and at times heavy โ in parts of west Davis County.
Officials say there is no need to report the smoke, as the burn is planned, controlled, and actively monitored throughout the operation.

๐ฒ New Utah E-Bike Rules Start May 6
Utahโs new e-bike law takes effect May 6, 2026. Riders under 21 must wear approved helmets on public roads, and faster electric devices may be treated as e-motorcycles requiring a license, endorsement, and insurance. (KUTV)
Why It Matters: Families in Bountiful and South Davis should double-check helmets, speeds, and rider ages before kids head out on neighborhood roads.

๐ Farmington Reminder for all: Keep Dogs Leashed
Farmington Parks & Recreation is reminding residents to keep dogs leashed while using local parks, trails, and sidewalks. The post points to Davis County code requiring pets to be under immediate physical restraint in public spaces to help keep outdoor areas safe and enjoyable for everyone.
Why It Matters: Leash compliance helps prevent accidents, protects other park users and pets, and keeps Farmingtonโs shared outdoor spaces safe for the community.

๐ฅ Viewmont Softball Rolls Past Brighton
Marlee Moser powered Viewmontโs 10-0 Region 6 win over Brighton, going 3-for-4 with a triple, home run, and three RBIs. London Dickerson threw a complete-game shutout, striking out 11 and allowing just one hit.
Why It Matters: A strong region win keeps the Vikingsโ momentum building and gives local fans plenty to cheer about.
