⭐️ Helping Bountiful’s Dogs Stay Clean,
Healthy, and Happy!
🐾 If your pup could talk, they’d probably say Scenthound is their favorite place in town! 🐶

At Scenthound Bountiful, dog care is about more than just a bath and haircut. Their friendly team focuses on the five essential areas of dog hygiene—Skin, Coat, Ears, Nails, and Teeth—to keep your furry friend looking, feeling, and smelling their best.
Owner Mike Solosko knows a thing or two about following your heart. After 25 years in corporate leadership, he traded the boardroom for dog baths to do something that truly mattered—helping dogs live healthier, happier lives. Mike and his family have built a place where pups are treated like family and pet parents always feel welcome.
Scenthound’s Wellness Club makes it easy to stay on top of your dog’s health with monthly, stress-free care. Each visit includes a quick S.C.E.N.T. Check (that’s Skin, Coat, Ears, Nails, and Teeth!) so you’ll always know how your pup is doing.
And their commitment to care extends beyond their doors. Through the Clean Start Program, Scenthound offers free hygiene services to shelter dogs looking for homes—and gives their new families a complimentary first visit after adoption. ❤️

This month, they’re also making a difference with a nationwide food drive to help feed shelter dogs through the holidays. Plus, all Houndswell™ wellness products are 25% off in November—perfect for keeping your dog healthy and happy all winter long.

Controversial Mega Homeless Shelter Proposal Faces Community Pushback in Northpoint
A proposed state-run mega homeless shelter in Northpoint, Utah, has sparked backlash from local residents who say it threatens their agricultural community and the surrounding wetlands. Critics argue the site is too remote to serve the homeless effectively and may divert funds from more practical, community-based support services. A letter campaign is underway urging state leaders to reconsider the plan.

Home-cooked in a clean, inspected kitchen to give families peace of mind along with nourishment.
Kaysville Resident Prepares Free Meals for Families Affected by SNAP Cuts
In response to recent SNAP benefit reductions, Kaysville resident Victoria Carlston is preparing and giving away home-cooked meals to families in need. From her own kitchen, she’s making and vacuum-sealing dinners—like chicken fajitas and veggie soup—in family-size portions for local pick-up.
Carlston’s effort has gained widespread support through her Facebook post, with neighbors offering donations and help with meal prep. She’s also welcoming contributions of ingredients to expand her reach.
This grassroots act of kindness is helping ensure no local family goes hungry.

Utah Ski Resorts Invest in Big Upgrades, But Warm Weather Slows Start
All 15 of Utah's ski resorts have made significant upgrades ahead of the winter season, including new lifts, improved snowmaking systems, and sustainability initiatives. However, unusually warm weather has delayed at least one major opening, with Park City Mountain pushing back its start date. Resorts remain optimistic and are preparing to open once conditions improve, hoping El Niño will bring more snow later in the season.

Local High School Swimmers Make Waves as 2025–26 Season Begins
Woods Cross, Farmington, Viewmont, and Bountiful High Schools are entering the 2025–26 swim season with top returning athletes. Woods Cross’ Ava Glissmeyer is among the state’s most versatile swimmers, while Farmington’s Elsie Crowell and Viewmont’s Thomas Chamberlain look to improve on last year’s strong finishes. Bountiful’s Henry Long also returns as a distance freestyle contender. All are expected to be key contributors for their teams this season.

Massage Minute with Chelsea 💆♀️✨

Your Shoulders Called—They Want a Break 🧣💆♀️
As the temps drop and the layers pile on, we tend to hunch our shoulders without even noticing—whether it's from bracing against the cold, stress, or simply scrolling our phones. Over time, that tension builds and settles deep into your neck, upper back, and jaw.
The good news? You don’t have to carry it into winter with you. Massage helps release that hidden tension, improve posture, and get your shoulders to finally relax—even under all those cozy sweaters.
👐 You can book a session with me or with Kristi, our wonderful new therapist who blends therapeutic depth with relaxing flow.
✨ Ready to loosen up and breathe a little easier? Book your session today.
