Stolen Trike Story Ends on a High Note Thanks to Local Generosity

A heartwarming act of generosity has brought a happy ending to a story that began with heartbreak.

Just days after a custom tricycle was stolen from a young local boy with disabilities, the community stepped up in a big way. After the story made rounds on social media, a local man reached out with a generous offer โ€” to replace the stolen trike with a brand-new one.

Following a message exchange with the family who initially shared the story online, a connection was made. On Friday, the donor, the family, and the young boy came together for a special meeting. The new trike was presented in person, bringing joy and relief to everyone involved.

The young boy beamed with a huge smile as he climbed onto his new wheels. His family members were visibly moved by the kindness, expressing deep gratitude for the unexpected act of goodwill.

What started as a disappointing theft turned into a touching moment of community spirit โ€” a reminder that compassion still thrives in unexpected places.

Bountiful Parking Garage Stalls as Developer Seeks Funding for Next Phase

An unfinished parking garage in Bountiful has become a topic of community discussion after months of inactivity on the site. The structure, part of a planned mixed-use development near the former Five Points Mall, was initially built over the winter and spring but has since seen no progress.

Bountiful City Councilwoman Kate Bradshaw responded to community questions, explaining that the developer is currently seeking additional funding to move forward with the next phase, which will include residential housing. For now, the parking garage remains incomplete.

Local residents expressed a range of reactionsโ€”from nostalgia for the old mall to frustration over construction delays and unanswered questions about the project's future.

New Rules and Dates for Davis County Bird Hunters in 2025 Season

Davis County hunters should prepare for changes in Utahโ€™s 2025 upland game and migratory bird seasons, including new bag limits and updated hunting dates. Key species include chukar, pheasant, dove, and waterfowl, with notable local relevance due to the countyโ€™s prime wetlands and upland areas. The Utah DWR encourages hunters to review regulations and utilize digital licensing for a smoother season.

Chew on this, pups:
not all treats are created equal!

Chews That Do Good โ€“ Healthy, Sustainable, and Mission-Driven

Many mass-market chews contain fillers, artificial ingredients, or are tough to digest. Thatโ€™s where single-ingredient chews shineโ€”theyโ€™re exactly what they sound like: one clean ingredient.

โœ… Easier to digest
โœ… Less likely to trigger allergies
โœ… Naturally nutrient-packed

They also support dental health, relieve stress, and keep pups happily occupied during those long fall evenings indoors.

๐Ÿฆด Benefits of Single-Ingredient Chews

โ€ข Reduce stress by releasing endorphins
โ€ข Scrape plaque and support gum health
โ€ข Deliver protein and minerals naturally
โ€ข Offer safer alternatives to rawhide

๐Ÿ• Brands We Love at Preppy Paws

Dogginstix โ€“ clean, high-quality single-ingredient chews

โ€ข K&K Beer Biscuits โ€“ local, sustainable treats made from spent brewery grains
