๐ The Curated Letter Club
A Little Encouragement in the Mail ๐
Sometimes the smallest things can make the biggest differenceโฆ like finding a thoughtful, encouraging letter waiting in your mailbox.
Thatโs the heart behind The Curated Letter Club โ a local monthly subscription created to help people feel encouraged, connected, and remembered in a world that often feels rushed and overwhelming.
Born From a Difficult Season
Created by local owner Chris Tolman, The Curated Letter Club was born during a difficult season of life filled with major changes and unexpected hardships. During that time, Chris found herself reconnecting with simple creative outlets she had loved for years โ writing, drawing, and coloring.
Those quiet creative moments became a way to slow down, process life, and find peace again.
As she began sharing what she was creating, she realized something important: other people were craving that same feeling of encouragement and connection too.
Thatโs when The Curated Letter Club began.
More Than Just Another Subscription
Each month, subscribers receive an uplifting, thoughtfully written letter in the mail โ something personal and meaningful to look forward to beyond the usual bills, ads, and endless digital notifications.
What makes it feel so special is its intentional simplicity. In a fast-moving digital world, it creates a small moment each month for people to slow down, breathe, and feel uplifted.
And honestlyโฆ who couldnโt use a little more of that these days?
A Gift That Means Something
While many people subscribe for themselves, some of the most meaningful subscriptions are actually gifts for others.
People have purchased subscriptions for aging parents, friends going through hard seasons, caregivers, loved ones living alone, and residents in care centers โ simply as a way to remind them theyโre loved and not forgotten.
Giving Back Through Encouragement
Chris has also partnered with The Caregiving Corner to help provide donated subscriptions for caregivers and residents in care facilities who could use a little extra encouragement and connection.
Itโs a simple idea, but one thatโs making a meaningful impact in peopleโs lives.
To learn more or subscribe for yourself or someone you love, you can email Chris at [email protected] or visit The Curated Letter Club Website. Also, Follow along on Facebook & Instagram

๐ฅ Massive Farmington Bay Burn Creates Smoke Seen Across Davis County
A large controlled burn near Farmington Bay sent a towering smoke plume across Davis County on Monday, with smoke and falling ash reported from Farmington to Bountiful. Utah fire officials said the prescribed burn expanded from 1,500 acres to roughly 5,000 acres after weather conditions shifted. The project targeted invasive phragmites along the Great Salt Lake shoreline to help restore bird habitat and improve water flow into the lake.
While the smoke looked dramatic, officials say the burn was planned and plays a key role in reducing wildfire risk, protecting wetlands, and supporting the long-term health of the Great Salt Lake ecosystem. ๐ Read More

๐ Students Shine at National Spelling Bee
As another school year has wrapped up, Utah students ended on a high note. Ray, champion of the 2026 Wasatch Regional Spelling Bee, advanced all the way to the Quarterfinals at the Scripps National Spelling Bee after successfully making it through the preliminary rounds. Three of Utahโs four student representatives remained in the competition, giving the state plenty to celebrate.
Itโs a strong reminder of the talent, hard work, and academic excellence coming out of Utah schools โ and a proud sendoff to the school year for students, families, and educators alike.
๐ฎ Junior Deputy Camp Returns This July
The Davis County Sheriff's Office will open registration on June 12 for its free Junior Deputy Day Camp for kids ages 9โ12. Camp dates are July 13, July 20, and July 27, and lunch will be provided each day. Spots are limited. This gives South Davis families a free summer activity where kids can learn about public safety, teamwork, and community service directly from local law enforcement. ๐ Learn More
