Animal Remains at Bountiful Trail Raise Safety Concerns for Families and Pets
A concerned Bountiful resident is urging hunters to be more mindful after animal remains were reportedly left near a popular local trailhead, raising safety concerns for families and pets who regularly use the area.
According to the post shared on a community Facebook page, deer legs were discovered along a trailhead frequently visited by families with young children and dog owners. While the remains themselves were unpleasant, the larger concern centered on the potential danger created by attracting predators such as cougars, bobcats, bears, and coyotes into a shared recreation space.
Residents say the trail is widely used for walking, hiking, and exercising dogs, and encounters with predatorsโeven when dogs are leashedโcan be frightening and risky. The post also served as a reminder that the area is monitored, noting that the location is classified as a felony dumping site and is equipped with a parking lot camera.
Community members are asking hunters to return, remove the remains, and dispose of them properly to help keep the trails safe and welcoming for everyone.

Nordic Valley Hosts Pray for Snow Party as Winter Anticipation Builds
Nordic Valley is hosting a preseason Pray for Snow Party on Sunday, December 28, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the resortโs base area in Eden. The event is designed to bring the community together and build excitement for the upcoming winter season while the resort awaits opening day.
The afternoon will feature live music from The Heavy Bucket Band, along with food from Fry Me to the Moon SLC, Bad Boy Burger Co., The Green Goat Shop, and the Nordic Valley snack shack. Cold beer will be available, and attendees can enter a raffle for a chance to win free lift tickets and resort swag.
Nordic Valleyโs shop will be open with new winter gear for sale, and basic services such as overnight tunes and waxes will be available. While skiing and riding are not yet open, the base area is expected to be lively as locals gather to celebrate winter and keep the stoke alive.

Body Discovered in West Valley City Neighborhood Sparks Investigation
Police in West Valley City are investigating after a manโs body was discovered on a neighborhood sidewalk early Thursday morning.
Authorities say a resident walking near the intersection of 3900 South and 4500 West came across the body around 7:30 a.m. Officers responded to the scene and confirmed the individual was deceased.
Investigators noted the man did not have any form of identification and appeared to have suffered injuries. At this time, officials have not determined the cause of death.
The area was secured while detectives processed the scene and gathered evidence. The investigation remains ongoing as police work to identify the man and determine the circumstances surrounding his death.

Massage Minute with Chelsea ๐โโ๏ธโจ

When Slowing Down Is the Progress ๐ฟ๐โโ๏ธ
In a world that celebrates hustle and productivity, itโs easy to feel guilty for slowing down. But hereโs the truth: healing, releasing tension, and resetting your nervous system all require stillness. That quiet pause you take on the massage table? That is the progress.
Massage is one of the few places where your only job is to let go. To soften. To receive. And when you do, your body respondsโwith more ease, better sleep, less pain, and deeper breath.
๐ Whether you come in for deep work or gentle support, Kristi and I are here to hold space for your reset.
