Bountifulโs Kate Bradshaw to Lead Utah Cities in Upcoming Legislative Session
Bountiful City Councilwoman Kate Bradshaw is stepping into a prominent leadership role as the newly elected president of the Utah League of Cities and Towns (ULCT), a statewide organization representing municipalities during the state legislative session. Her election marks a continuation of Bountifulโs active role in the League, following in the footsteps of former city leaders including Mayor John Cushing (1998), Mayor Joe Johnson (2007), and Council Member Beth Holbrook (2017).
As president of the ULCT, Bradshaw will represent not only Bountiful but cities and towns across Utah, advocating for local government interests during the upcoming legislative session. Bountiful City participates in the League to ensure local perspectives are included in state policy discussions, with a focus on protecting municipal authority and addressing community-specific needs.
Bradshawโs leadership comes at a critical time, as cities across Utah prepare for the challenges and opportunities of the next legislative cycle. More updates are expected as the session approaches.

Farmington Leaders Tour New Park as Construction Progresses
Excitement is building in Farmington as progress continues on the highly anticipated North Cottonwoods Commons Park. Recently, members of the City Council, Parks and Recreation staff, and city administration, including Mayor Anderson, visited the site to see firsthand how the development is shaping up.
The new park promises to be a vibrant addition to the community, offering a wide range of recreational opportunities designed to appeal to residents of all ages. While construction is still ongoing, the vision for the space includes areas for play, relaxation, and community gathering.
With its scenic setting and multipurpose design, North Cottonwoods Commons Park is poised to become a go-to destination for outdoor fun and neighborhood connection. Anticipation is high as the city looks forward to unveiling this new recreational gem.

๐ Friday Night Lights: Local Highschool Teams Shine as Woods Cross Dominates, Farmington Stuns Syracuse
It was a standout week for high school football across the Bountiful-area schools, with three out of four local teams grabbing wins in key regional matchups.
Bountiful shut down Brighton 13-3 behind two early touchdowns and a dominant defensive showing. Viewmont fell to Alta 25-14 after a late-game fade. Woods Cross routed Olympus 40-7, fueled by a three-touchdown performance from Viliami Tapa'atoutai. Farmington pulled off a 27-21 upset over Syracuse, anchored by a big third quarter and a clutch 50-yard field goal.
