Utah's Natural History Museum Reveals New Dinosaur Discovery

The Natural History Museum of Utah in Salt Lake City unveiled a new dinosaur species, Lokiceratops rangiformis, discovered in northern Montana. Named for its distinctive horns resembling the Norse god Loki's helmet, the giant horned dinosaur's skull was meticulously pieced together by scientists over four years. This discovery enhances understanding of ceratopsians' diversity, revealing that up to five elephant-sized species coexisted in a small area. The skull and a life-like replica are now on display at the museum for the rest of the year.

North Salt Lake Gears Up for Liberty Fest

The annual Liberty Fest in North Salt Lake is set to begin this weekend, offering a variety of exciting events for the community. Starting on Saturday morning, June 29th, festivities will kick off at Legacy Park with races, grass volleyball, and a pancake breakfast. Popular attractions such as the foam cannon, a magician, various vendors, a climbing wall, and bounce houses will also be featured.

Car enthusiasts can look forward to the Eaglewood Auto Fest on Tuesday, July 2nd. Participants are encouraged to register their vehicles for free, although registration is mandatory for all entrants.

The celebrations will culminate on Wednesday, July 3rd, at Eaglewood with fireworks and numerous fun activities. Those interested in volunteering for Liberty Fest can sign up through the city’s website.

Bountiful City’s Music in the Park

Concerts will be held at the Main Stage at the Bountiful City Park: 400 North and 200 West. They take place on Friday evenings at 7PM starting in late June. There will be food trucks at site at each concert.

Rock the Park at Station Park

This summer you can enjoy local, live entertainment and bands next to the fountains at Station Park. Grab dinner first or bring a picnic from home to eat while you listen. Rock the Park will take place Friday evenings in August. Concert details can be found on their Facebook page! 

Concerts on the Hill at Cherry Hill

Concerts take place under the stars every Friday evening on the Lucky 7 stage Cherry Hill's Grants Gultch (1325 South Main Street, Kaysville). Concerts for 2024 will start in June. Click here for details!
