New Building Next to Lee’s Marketplace Sparks Local Curiosity

North Salt Lake, UT — Construction of a new building next to Lee’s Marketplace in North Salt Lake has prompted questions from residents, with many turning to social media to ask what’s coming to the site.

According to city planning documents, the project is a new commercial building within the Foxboro Marketplace area. One confirmed tenant is Oaks Medical Group, with additional space planned for office or commercial use.

Those interested in learning more or viewing official planning information can visit the City of North Salt Lake Planning Commission archives for details related to the Foxboro Marketplace development.

Bountiful Residents Receive Duplicate Utility Bills Due to System Glitch

Bountiful Clarifies Utility Billing Error After Duplicate Notices Sent

Bountiful City is notifying residents about a recent billing issue that caused some to receive duplicate utility bill notifications. The problem, caused by a system glitch, affected bills generated on January 8, 2026, with a due date of January 30, 2026.

Despite the duplicate notifications, the city confirms that residents were only charged once. The extra notice was a technical error and does not require any further action.

The issue has been resolved, and the billing system is now functioning normally. Residents with questions can contact the Bountiful Utilities Department at 801-298-6100.

Nighttime Lane Closures on US-89 in Farmington Begin Tonight

Nightly lane closures on US-89 in Farmington will take place starting TONIGHT, January 27th thru January 30th for pedestrian bridge construction near Park Lane. Up to two lanes in each direction will close from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m., with delays expected. The closures are part of the I-15 Shepard Lane Interchange project.

For more information, the public can contact the project team through the dedicated hotline, email, or visit the official UDOT website.

🏊‍♀️ Davis County Swimmers Surge to the Top Ahead of State Championships

Swimmers from Woods Cross, Bountiful, Viewmont, and Farmington high schools are making significant marks in Utah’s 2025–26 high school swim season. Woods Cross leads with top state rankings in relay events, while Bountiful and Viewmont maintain competitive placements in both individual and team events. Farmington’s rapid rise into the top tier of state rankings underscores its growing influence. As championship meets near, Davis County swimmers are primed for standout finishes.
