Fun, No-Shots Doctor Visits Aim to Make Healthcare Less Scary for Kids

Optimal Family Medicine, a new primary care clinic in Bountiful, is inviting local families to take part in a Fun & Free Doctor’s Office Visit — an engaging experience designed to help children feel comfortable in a medical setting.

Parents and homeschool groups can bring kids to Optimal Family Medicine, located at 1455 S 500 W, Suite B, for a 20-minute, hands-on tour of the clinic. Children will explore real doctor tools, learn how to stay healthy, and discover how to treat minor injuries like scratches — all in a playful, no-pressure environment. There are no shots or medications involved, making it a perfect first introduction to healthcare.

Participants will also enjoy a guided tour of Optimal Family Medicine’s newly opened clinic, helping young visitors become familiar with the space and reduce any anxiety about future doctor visits.

In addition to these educational tours, Optimal Family Medicine provides comprehensive primary care services for patients of all ages, along with flexible after-hours care when available.

Utah Co-op Brings Affordable Food Straight to Local Families

Utah families are saving big on groceries thanks to the Food and Meat Co-op, which offers food directly from suppliers at 20% to 50% below store prices.

Without storefronts, the Co-op operates via refrigerated truck pickups at 21 parking lot locations across Northern Utah. Customers simply drive through to collect their orders, with home delivery available in select areas for a small fee.

High Winds Flip Sailboat on Utah Lake; Two Men Rescued

Two men were rescued after their sailboat capsized in rough waters on Utah Lake. The pair encountered dangerous conditions when strong winds and shallow waters created large waves. After making an emergency call, they waited atop their overturned boat until help arrived. Both are safe and now caution others about the risks of boating in such conditions.
