Jack in the Box Opens New Location in Bountiful, Utah

Jack in the Box is bringing its quirky charm and wide-ranging menu to Bountiful, with a new location opening this fall at 370 W 500 S. Known for its 29-item menu that includes burgers, tacos, egg rolls, and all-day breakfast, the chain adds more variety to the local fast-food scene.

Founded in 1951, Jack in the Box helped popularize the drive-thru two-way intercom system that’s now standard in the industry. While they didn’t invent it, they made it a signature part of the modern drive-thru experience.

The Bountiful spot is one of 15 Jack in the Box locations planned for Utah by the end of 2025. Whether you're craving curly fries, unique tacos, or something more classic, the new restaurant offers plenty of options for every taste.

Foxboro School Seeks Host Family for Visiting French Intern

Foxboro School is currently seeking a host family for a visiting intern from northern France, who is training to become a teacher. With a strong background in working with children, she will be assisting at the school as part of an international cultural exchange and teacher-training program.

The host family would be asked to provide a private room and meals. The hosting commitment is flexible, with options ranging from the full school year to shorter stays of at least eight weeks.

Families who have hosted in the past have found it to be a rewarding experience, often forming lasting friendships with their guests. The program not only offers support to aspiring educators but also brings a global perspective into the local community.

Western Sports Park Hosts Grand Opening Bash in Farmington

Farmington residents can look forward to an exciting community event as Western Sports Park officially opens its doors on Tuesday, September 17. The grand opening celebration will take place from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at 25 N. Sports Park Way, welcoming visitors to explore the brand-new facility.

The event promises an engaging evening for guests of all ages, showcasing the expansive new building that boasts more space and amenities than many might expect. Attendees will have the opportunity to tour the facility and get a first look at what’s now available in the heart of Farmington's growing recreation scene.

Adding to the festivities, Simple Treasures will be among the local businesses with a booth at the event, offering attendees a chance to connect with familiar faces and explore what the local vendor has to offer.

With a blend of family-friendly fun and community spirit, the grand opening aims to highlight the park's role as a future hub for sports, events, and gatherings in the area.

🏈 Final Tests Await Bountiful, Viewmont, and Woods Cross Before Region Clash

Bountiful, Viewmont, and Woods Cross high school football teams will play one final non-region game this week before starting Region 6 play. Viewmont holds the best record at 3-1, despite a recent loss to Weber. Woods Cross evened its record at 2-2 after a dominant shutout win. Bountiful, at 1-3, continues to search for consistency after a narrow loss to Morgan. Each team hopes to build momentum heading into league play.

🧸 Be the Light with Lily’s Birthday Stuffed Animal Drive

Last year, Lily celebrated her birthday by organizing a stuffed animal drive for Intermountain Health’s Cancer Center—collecting 140 stuffed animals to comfort kids whose parents are battling cancer. 💛

This year, she’s back with an even bigger goal: 200 stuffed animals by September 30th! Each donation, whether new or gently loved (small to medium-sized), helps bring hope and comfort to kids and teens during an unimaginably hard time.

There are lots of ways to get involved:

• Drop donations off at Lily’s house

• Order online and ship directly to her

• Meet up for a hand-off

• Or contribute funds so she can purchase animals on your behalf

As Lily shared, “Learn to light a candle in the darkest moments of someone’s life. Be the light that helps others see.” 🌟
