Saddle Up for Cowboy Poetry & Music Night in West Bountiful
Get ready for an evening steeped in western charm as Cowboy Poetry & Music Night returns to West Bountiful. On Friday, October 11 at 7:00 p.m., locals are invited to gather at City Hall for a celebration of cowboy culture through heartfelt storytelling and traditional music.
Featured performers Kim McKean and Mike Leger will take the stage, bringing a mix of classic western ballads and original cowboy poetry that evokes the spirit of the open range. This free event has become a local favorite, drawing music lovers, poetry fans, and families alike for an unforgettable night of hometown entertainment.
Whether you're a longtime enthusiast or just curious about cowboy culture, this is a chance to experience authentic western artistry in a warm, community setting.

Davis County Unites to Raise Awareness for Domestic Violence Victims
Davis County has declared October as Domestic Violence Awareness Month, with local officials emphasizing that domestic abuse affects people from all backgrounds. Representatives from Safe Harbor Crisis Center and law enforcement agencies highlighted the need for public education, early intervention, and accessible resources. The county urges residents to support survivors and recognize signs of abuse in their communities.

Remnants of Hurricane Priscilla Prompt Flood Watches Across Southern Utah
Utah is under a flood watch as remnants of Hurricane Priscilla bring heavy rain to the region. Southern and central counties, including Washington and San Juan, could see 1โ2 inches of rainfall with possible flash flooding. Burn scar areas, slot canyons, and dry washes are especially at risk. The stormโs impact is expected from Monday through Tuesday evening, with conditions easing midweek.

๐ Wildcats Roar Past Bengals in Dominant Straight-Sets Victory & Farmington Rallies to Edge Davis in Five-Set Thriller
The Woods Cross Wildcats delivered a commanding performance on the volleyball court, sweeping the Brighton Bengals in three straight sets during a Region 6 clash. With set scores of 25-14, 25-12, and 25-9, Woods Cross showed complete control from start to finish, maintaining their momentum throughout the match and leaving little opportunity for Brighton to respond.
With this latest win, the Wildcats improved to an impressive 22-1 on the season, reinforcing their dominance within the region and making a strong case as one of the top contenders. Brighton, now holding a 9-10 record, struggled to keep pace, unable to break through Woods Crossโ consistent pressure and efficient execution.
In another notable matchup, Farmington edged out Davis in a thrilling five-set battle. The hard-fought 3-2 victory showcased Farmingtonโs determination and resilience, adding an exciting highlight to the nightโs regional action.
